Program areas at Juneau Cooperative Christian Ministry
Juneau Cooperative Christian Ministry (Glory Hall) has one key function, which is to provide food, shelter, and other assistance to those in need. In 2017 The following services were provided1) 12,760 bed nights to men, women and children in need of emergency shelter. The bed nights included showers, laundry services, and other essential supplies, such as toiletries, and hygiene related products.2) 51,530 meals were provided to men, women, and children in need. We also provided food boxes to everyone who requested food boxes, both throughout The year and during thanksgiving and christmas holidays.3) many other services including laundry (5,000 loads), showers (3,171 showers), limited case management, clothing assistance, utility assistance, homelessness prevention assistance, prescription medication assistance, transportation assistance, job and housing search assistance and outreach were provided.
Juneau housing first collaborative (housing first) program provides supportive housing for adults in Juneau Alaska, along with other services such as mental health, addiction, activities of daily living, and more. A community health center is onsite using a designated section of The facility. During 2018, The organization assisted housing first by providing suppportive services to those most in need.
