Program areas at The Golden Key Center for Exceptional Children
The Golden Key Center provides charter non-public school accredited under The department of Ohio education & workforce. The nonpublic charter is for students in grades k-8th for those with autism and other cognitivie disorders. The school provides individualized services to support The students abilities and to support functional skills to enahnce their quality of life. This is a 10-month typical school calendar program providing services monday - friday, mid-august through end of may.
The Golden Key Center provides program services in childcare to those students who attend their non-public charter school and specialized preschool with before and after school programs, and summer camp. Currently The Center serves over 45 Children in this capacity. This childcare program allows for The families of The school to receive quality respite program, understanding and compassionate staff to The needs of The families The school serves. Before and after care services are 12-month program and summer camp is mid-june through beginning of august.
The Golden Key Center provides specialized preschool intervention for students on The autism spectrum ages 3-5 to support early intervention through education, intervention and therapies. This program is grounded in applied behavior analysis and relationship development intervention to support child development that is delayed due to The autism spectrum diagnosis. This is a 12-month that supports staff with intense training in child development coupled with The findings on educating those on The autism spectrum.
