2023 program accomplishments include 18 super scoopers employed age 16 and older with development disabilities; 320 hours of workforce development trainings; 15,349 sales transactions at The shop; 15,700 units of ice cream sold through our wholesale distribution; 65 catering events; 50+ applicants on our super scooper wait list; 5 partner community organizationsin The words of one parent: in a few months at The Golden Scoop, we witnessed incredible growth and independence in our son, which he has generalized across all areas of this life. The confidence, The skills he has learned and The sense of community that our son has gained by working at The Golden Scoop has been a dream come true not just for him but for our whole family. Years of therapy could not do for our son what working at The Golden Scoop has done for him. They have changed my attitude toward what is possible for individuals with disabilities
