Program areas at The Grand Rapids Red Project
Red Project provides HIV prevention, testing, linkage to care, case management, and tobacco reduction services. Testing is provided at our office loaction in Grand Rapids, through our mobile health unit sites, and at community locations and venues. Red Project helps people living with HIV engage in medical care and social supports and provides community-based case management services. Red Project also provides syringe access service delivery in Grand Rapids 40 hours a week, in Muskegon 25 hours a week, and through over 10 mobile unit sites, in Kent, Muskegon, Lake, Newaygo, Ottawa and Allegan Counties.
Red Project provides overdoseprevention services with community based distribution of naloxone rescue kits in Muskegon, Lake, Mason, Oceana, Newaygo, Montcalm, Ottawa, and Allegan Counties. We provide harm reduction-based Recovery Coaches in Muskegon and Grand Rapids areas. Red Project facilitates the Michigan User Union and provides technical assistance and advocacy services.
