Donor advised grantmaking: donor advised funds allow donors to recommend grants to nonprofit organizations of their choice over time. The Greater Cincinnati Foundation has approximately 1,101 donor advised funds with a combined market value of more than $354 million. The Foundation encourages philanthropy by providing this flexible vehicle for donors to achieve their individual charitable objectives. Gcf welcomes The opportunity to partner with people who want to be actively involved in grantmaking.
Total designated funds:gcf donors can establish a "designated fund" where they specify that all future grants go to (1) one or more specific organizations, or (2) for a specific purpose. This enables ongoing funding for a museum, house of worship, or virtually any public charity or impact area in The nation.
Responsive grants: gcf responds to proposals submitted by nonprofit organizations in our eight-county service area. Grants are made to support projects in The following issue areas: vibrant arts & culture, educational success, environmental beautification, disabilities and basic needs.
