Program areas at Greater New Haven Cat Project
During 2023, gnhcp provided assistance to 683 cats in the Greater New Haven area. This includes 628 spay/nueters (tame and feral cats), and assistance to 35 other cats who were sick/injured. In 2023, the organization adopted 151 cats through direct adoptions or networking.
Cats brought into foster care are feline leukemia/aids tested, receive distemper and rabies vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and provided additional veterinary care to prepare them for adoption into a permanent home. Cats/kittens available for adoption are pposted on our webiste, gnhcp.org.
