Program areas at Griffin School

Griffin School is accredited by the Texas Alliance of Accredited Private Schools, under the auspices of the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission. National Merit Recognition: Five students in the Class of 2024 were recognized as Commended Students in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program. 2023 Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards: In the Arts, Griffin Students won 1 National Silver Key, and 10 Regional Scholastic Art Awards, including 3 Gold Keys, 3 Silver Keys, and 4 Honorable Mentions. In the Writing competition, Griffin students won 10 awards, including 2 Gold Keys in Poetry, 2 Silver Keys in Poetry, 1 Silver Key in Critical Essay, and 5 Honorable Mentions in SciFi & Fantasy, Critical Essay, Poetry, and Flash Fiction. AP Scholars: In July 2023, a total of 37 students were recognized by the College Board as AP Scholars, including 10 Scholars with Honor (avg. AP score of 3.96) and 11 Scholars with Distinction (avg. AP score of 4.06). Community Service Requirement: Griffin students complete 20 hours of volunteer service per year, resulting in a total of 80 hours by their graduation date.
