Camp is a well tested viable learning experience that contributes to The overall health and development of children. Hiram House is committed to promoting family values, building character, and opening new horizons for youth.
Programs include archery, swimming, horseback riding, farmstead (animal husbandry and gardening), arts and crafts, boating, hiking, games and campfires. Our summer camp provided an ideal setting for a child with asd. Summer camp helps to address peer interactions, social communication, development of interactive play skills, and engagement in group activities. Hiram House offers a more natural setting for addressing a broader range of social skills than possible in other typical environments, even an inclusive classroom. Chances are greater for generalization of skills from camp to home because The interventions occur in a naturalistic setting.
