Description
The House of the Temple Historic Preservation Foundation protects, preserves, maintains, and restores The Scottish Rite Temple located on the District of Columbia Register of Historic Sites. It also charitably funds language services, educational scholarships, and disaster relief. The Temple contains a 175,000 volume historic public library as well as numerous valuable Masonic memorabilia in its museum. Additionally, the Foundation maintains library and museum exhibits and facilities for public use and prepares for additional exhibits.
