Increase successful home ownership and tenancy experiences for low- and moderate-income residents of monroe county and The surrounding area. Administer grant programs on behalf of local municipalities provide counseling and intervention services for tenants, home owners and The homeless. Provide comprehensive assistance and direct training for landlords, maintain a hotline and publish a rental registry. In The year ended september 30, 2023 The organization assisted over 343 households with foreclosure prevention counseling and other homeownership services. A total of 14 families received mortgage assistance funds to bring their mortgage or taxes current. Less than 1% of clients receving foreclosure prevention services lost their home to a foreclosure. The organization also distributed printed fair Housing information to over 563 households, provided business development assistance and rental property management services to over 50 landlords, and delivered fair Housing education in-person to over 204 low income tenants. A total of 4,630 landlord, tenants, homeowners and individuals with Housing related issues received services through The Housing hotline. The monroe county first time homeownership program counseled and educated approximately 426 potential first time home buyers and 34 households closed on a home for fiscal year ending september 2023.
