To enrich The Community by providing plots in a central gathering place for members to plant vegetables, herbs, and Edible flowers, as well as Community fruit parks, and enjoy The fruits of our labor. To offer an opportunity for members to "adopt" families in need, shelters, transition homes, homeless people, food banks, etc. To share their crops. To provide The Community with sustainable produce in times of natural or man-made disasters, as well as during hard economic times. To provide care and maintenance for trees subject to contracts with city and county government. To foster "green programs" such as Community tree planting projects. To provide education and guidance for children and communities through stem education program partnerships, prototypical demonstration projects, and fostering partnerships with other non-profit and governmental bodies. To provide information regarding The benefits of organic food, health and nutrition, and environmental and conservation issues, and to generally foster a stronger sense of Community.
Calfire - cal releaf, neighborhood grows, route 66 and healing grove foundation - a communities grants program for san bernardino county, ca. These programs are grant funded from cal-fire. The organization will provide 20-25 grants for san bernardino county to plant over 1000 trees, to care for and maintain The trees, and to measure greenhouse gas reductions via calculating total carbon stored by The trees for a minimum of 5 years. To provide a green infrastructure technician training program, which will provide trainees with information regarding The care and maintenance of trees, climate change, assessment of tree health and cutting edge technology to measure carbon stored by trees. To produce a public awareness campaign regarding these programs and The benefits thereof with pbs. The healing grove memorial project was started to design and plant a grove of trees for each of The families who lost a loved one in The san bernardino terrorist attack in december 2015.
