RUMUN 2021 was the first in-person event IDIA held post-pandemic. It's attendance was severely constricted by pandemic-related capacity restrictions and school district protocols. More than 60 volunteer undergraduates planned and executed a conference with the theme of ?Enduring Issues, Today?.
PhilMUN 2022 (in the 2021 tax year) was impacted by the onset of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, which emerged and spread rapidly just before the conference was set to begin. Nonetheless, our volunteer staffers undertook a pandemic-compliant event and managed to deliver an effective educational experience for the students in attendance.
RMC returned as an in-person event in 2022, after being canceled at the onset of the pandemic in 2020 and run as an online event in 2021. Though registration numbers were constrained by lingering pandemic issues, the four day conference ran successfully and engaged more than 250 highschool students in over 15 committees during four days of debate.
