1. Shall work to prevent and alleviate human suffering throughout the world and thereby contribute to the maintenance and promomtion of internal peace and understanding. 2. Shall, alone or in cooperation with other persons, organizations, or institutions, conduct all other activities and do any and all acts and things which may be necessary, useful, suitable, or proper in connection with or for the furtherance, accomplishment, or attainment of such charitable purposes as are lawful for a corporation formed under section 402 of the not-for-profit corporation law and for a corporation which qualifies for federal tax-exempt status under sections 501(c) and 5
