To research and describe The restoration of The gospel of jesus christ as revealed to joseph smith and with quality, faith promoting scholarships by publishing an online journal, as well as sponsoring conferences, publishing books, producing films, and generating podcasts and learning aids free of charge to The public at no cost.
The book of mormon critical text project, which is supported entirely by donations, is devoted to reconstructing The text of The book of mormon as it was originally dictated by joseph smith in The late 1820s, to analyzing The grammar, syntax, and vocabulary of that text, and to cataloging The changes that have occurred in subsequent editions, whether editorially deliberate or The product of simple error.
The six days in august and not by bread alone film projects are a donation-supported effort to produce a dramatic film, an accompanying two-part docudrama expanding on The scope of The dramatic film and including scholarly commentary, and a group of roughly two-dozen short-film features focused on specific issues raised in The theatrical movie and The docudrama. All are focused on founding events and personalities at The very beginning of The church of jesus christ of latter-day saints.
