Program areas at The Ivy Table
Thailand The Ivy Table helps feed hundreds of people living 8,600 miles away. In partnership with several Christian organizations, we provide roughly 3 tons of food and other basic necessities every month to underprivileged children and families in that country. As part of that program, representatives of the Organization and volunteers conduct occasional missions trips to Thailand to oversee the use of their donations and to assist the charitable organizations.
Connecting Tables Surplus food that would normally be disposed of is collected, repackaged in microwavable to-go containers, labeled with nutritional information, and placed in free meal fridges in the community, where those in need are able to help themselves to a free meal with no questions asked.
The entire community is invited to gather for a nutritious home-cooked meal. offered on a donate-what-you-can basis. Those who can afford to give generously help cover the costs of those who cannot. 100 of any proceeds from these meals are used to feed those in need both locally and abroad.
