Food fairs: The Jesse Tree hosted twenty-four (24) food fairs in which produce was distributed to 2,037 families representing 8,116 individuals; 120,000 tons of produce with an estimated value of $365,000 was distributed.senior wellness and food box distribution: monthly food boxes are delivered to 180 residents of galveston's senior/disabled public housing. Healthcare, social services and ministerial intervention are also provided. 2,160 food boxes were delivered to residents at gulf breeze, holland house, and The oaks. The survivors support network: in response to The unfortunate incidents of a drowning on galveston's beaches, The Jesse Tree mobilizes a specially trained team that gathers The family and friends of The victims, keep them appraised of The search while attending to their needs until The victims are recovered. This compassionate program offers meals, accomodations and guidance through The maze of legal complications in The aftermath of The tragedy. In 2019, four events were attended and two of those were 'double drownings'.chronic conditions management/diabetes program health equipment loan program (help): serving The under and uninsured population of galveston county (estimated at 30% of The population of 250,000), individual families are assisted with durable medical equipment (dme) and supplies; connected to healthcare and social services to create a network of care upon discharge from local hospitals, while enrolled in The Jesse Tree classes to learn chronic conditions management and positive lifestyle changes to improve or maintain their health. Provided 215 patient discharge planning assistance; rx assistance valued at $40,860; dme/medical supplies valued at $275,000; 253 participants registered in chronic conditions management classes.the help line responded to over 21,000 calls for information and assistance.case management was provided to 253 individuals who were also enrolled inchronic conditions management classes.3,096 senior food boxes were delived monthly to 258 senior residents of public housing.durable medical equipment was collected, refurbished and loaned to 310 uninsured individuals, while donated medical supplies were given to 527uninsured individuals.the survivor's support network responded to three (3) drowning incidents to provide care for The families and support The beach patrol in their work.
