Fresh check day: fresh check day is a celebratory fair-like event that creates an approachable atmosphere where students are encouraged to engage in dialogue about mental health. Fresh check day helps to build a bridge between students and The mental health resources and programs that exist on campus, in The community and on a national level. Using a peer-to-peer messaging model, fresh check day utilizes student groups in addition to college/university staff to develop and execute interactive booths that deliver mental health and resource information in a fun and engaging way. The program continued to expand nationally and 202 fresh check day events were held in 37 states, plus d.c., in 2022, directly impacting over 37,068 students.
4 what's next: 4 what's next is a primary prevention program that builds psychological resiliency in students by giving them The tools to handle stress and distress now and in their future. There were 13 4 what's next sites acquired in 2022, resulting in an estimated impact of 211 students.
Nine out of ten:the nine out of ten ambassador program is a student ambassador program thatempowers college students to be a hopeful voice for suicide. Our nine out of ten program is both an informational website and a peer-run suicide prevention program. Inspired by The statistic that about 1 in 10 college students contemplates suicide, nine our of ten empowers college students to be a hopeful voice for suicide prevention. Each year The Jordan Porco Foundation selects a handful of dedicated college students from across The us to serve as a student advisory committee. Last year we had 6 student ambassadors.
