The Joys of Living Assistance Dogs

2023 has been a year of growth for jlad. We only had one graduation this year, held in The fall and successfully matched and graduated 8 service Dogs. Our dog program is currently in full swing at eastern Oregon correctional institution (eoci) as well as south fork forest camp (sffc). In addition, we've expanded our program to include Oregon state correctional institution (osci). We have 32 Dogs in training that rotate through eoci, 6 Dogs in sffc and 7 Dogs in osci. Keeping up with The changing times has also been a priority for jlad. We have increased our personnel to include a part time administrative assistant and part time dog trainer. We continue to create plans for building a facility specifically designed for jlad's needs.
