Program areas at The Knowledge House Fellowship

The Knowledge House's Karim Kharbouch Coding Fellowship (KKCF), for high school students, experienced a lot of success in 2023. The team has met or exceeded several of our goals, including the achievement of an 80% summer pass rate (meeting the goal of 80%) and 91% graduation rate (exceeding the goal of 75%). Students are currently being placed into opportunities in tech. 1.One fellow is pursuing computer science at University of Albany Honors College and shared that TKH provided him his first opportunity in tech and is the reason he pursued STEM in college. Despite juggling school, a job, and our program, he was very active in the program and applied to opportunities like Google STEP & ABM Industries. This summer he was accepted into a Software Engineering AI Fellowship with Headstarter. 2.Students from our 2023-24 KKCF class have enrolled in colleges such as Northeastern University, St. John's University, Purdue University, Princeton University, State University of New York at Stony Brook, and Adelphi University with a STEM focus. 3.Many graduates have moved onto STEM pathways by pursuing programs like American on Tech/ Tech 360, Amazon Future Engineer, and Girls Who Code to pursue STEM pathways. 4.Lastly, students have been placed in job opportunities such as a research mentor at the STEM Institute at CCNY, a Data Analyst Associate at Amazon, and a Career Teacher Assistant at The Knowledge House, upon completion of the KKCF program.
