Our global agenda included presenting an award from our fund for human rights defenders to haydee castillo, a longtime nicaraguan human rights defender; and a breakfast meeting with The recipient from The previous year, mahbouba seraj of afghanistan. We also were able to cover hospital bills for a female human rights defender in uganda.
