Program areas at The Lamp Foundation
The Lamp's health center in Cite Soleil received approximately 14,000 patient visits. Each of these persons received a doctor consultation, lab testing, and medicine, free of charge. These patients are among the most disadvantaged on the globe. The Lamp also provided a nutrition program for severely malnourished children, a women's clinic, cardiology services, school sponsorship for local children, mobile clinics to other disadvantaged areas, and public health education programming. All expenses in Haiti were directed to the efforts of this health center, including medicines, lab supplies and operational costs, such as vehicle maintenance and salaries for nineteen Haitian staff. Haitian staff include two full time doctors and four nurses.
