Program areas at The Land Cle
Reporting: The Land published more than 100 in-depth news stories about Clevelands neighborhoods and inner-ring suburbs. We hired and trained a diverse group of writers and interns to report these articles. We distributed the articles to a broad audience using our email newsletter, website, and social media.
Civic engagement: The Lands reporting provided coverage of public meetings, resources for getting involved, and promotion of civic participation opportunities that helped to spur civic engagement in the community.
Collaboration: The Land collaborated with more than 20 media outlets through the Northeast Ohio Solutions Journalism Collaborative (NEOSOJO) to report on how the Covid-19 pandemic is disproportionately affecting marginalized communities in Northeast Ohio and possible solutions for addressing these issues.
