Program areas at The Land Trust of North Alabama
During FY 2023, the Land Trust of North Alabama (LTNA) continued programs in furtherance of our mission to protect and preserve land and its legacies for conservation, public recreation advocacy, and conservation education. The LTNA conserved an additional 247 acres in 2023, bringing the total conservation property to over 10,000 acres. LTNA also provided a wide range of nature-based education and recreation opportunities, including field trips, on-campus school programs, and guided hikes. All 10 of our nature preserves are open daily for people to enjoy activities including hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, photography, picnicking, bird watching, and fishing. Two of our nature preserves also allow horseback riding opportunities.
