Program areas at The Leaders Readers Network
The Diverse Book Program works to provide teachers at Title 1 schools with brand new books that represent diverse stories, backgrounds, and cultures. During the 2021 - 2022 school year, we provided over 63,060 books to students and teachers at underserved schools.
The Dominica Strong program provides brand new books to schools in Dominica. During the 2021 - 2022 school year, we provided 4,500 brand new books to students at 5 schools in Dominica.
The Literacy Fellowship program provides educators at Title 1 schools with free professional development, a diverse classroom library, literacy enrichment activities, and brand new books for students 4 times per year. During the 2021 - 2022 school year, we partnered with 40 educators and librarians, 46 schools, 250 classrooms, and activated over 36,000 volunteer hours to advance service and literacy projects, while impacting 53,110 students.
