Program areas at The League of Women Voters of Texas

Nonpartisan Community Education for Texas Voters: Voters look to the League for nonpartisan, unbiased election information in advance of every election. Resource information on election processes and what will be on the ballot are easily accessible with printed Voters Guides at local libraries as well as on VOTE411.org and the League website online. We translate the Voters Guide into Spanish, Simple Chinese and Vietnamese to ensure new citizens may read the Voters Guide on VOTE411.org in the language they are most comfortable with. We use cutting-edge technology to reach voters across Texas. While voters still find the Voters Guide in print in libraries and community centers, it is also easily viewed by phone, tablet, or computer on LWVTexas.org and at VOTE411.org. We promote voting and elections with QR codes, text reminders, and on social media with videos and graphics. During the 2021 and 2022 Constitutional Amendment Elections and the 2022 Primary and Primary runoff Elections, our nonpartisan Voters Guide reached more than 500,000 voters across Texas providing voter education, and information on candidates and voting safely. Videos explaining the Constitutional Amendments in both English and Spanish provided accessible information for voters. See Schedule O.
