Sexual health education: delivered sexual health education to adolescents (14-20) in high poverty rural communities in nicaragua. Tested online sexual health education curriculum for development of chava (mobile app). Developed and launched chava prototype in rural communities of nicaragua. Completed ui/ux testing with 200+ adolescents for development of market- ready version
Womens health status (report to global health partners). 70% of girls in latam lack access to quality sexual health education. Analysis of The Lily projects data representing more than 20,000 women: 8% of lilys clients have a child by age 15 and 47% by age 17; 58% never attended/did not complete primary school; 97% do not have a paying job. Women who have at least a secondary education tend to have jobs and delayed motherhood.
Womens health: continued to provide on-line sexual health and education to The Lily Project clients via whatsapp. Knowledge transfer for local partners who will continue to provide direct sexual health services to women in marginalized communities.
