Dodgers dreamfields:the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (ladf) builds Dodgers dreamfields to give families in neighborhoods across Los Angeles safe havens and points of pride. The addition of revitalized baseball and softball fields contributes to existing green spaces, promotes physical activity and increases opportunities for play in underserved communities. As of 2022, ladf completed 57 total fields to date.
Dodgers dreamteam:dodgers dreamteam (formerly Dodgers rbi) is a comprehensive sports-based youth development program that uses The power of sport to provide critical resources and services to communities who are experiencing social injustices. In 2022, ladf had 9,412 youth across 76 locations in The program.
Ladf gives (ladf grantmaking):the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (ladf) is focused on The most pressing problems facing underserved communities today and invest in proven programs that improve education, health care, homelessness and social justice for all angelenos. Grant applications are accepted two times a year and take applicants through a three-month review cycle.
La reads:to help address The literacy crisis in Los Angeles and get children excited about reading, ladf partners with The Los Angeles Dodgers to execute la reads, a literacy campaign that includes a literacy challenge, "Dodgers reading champions". Through la reads, ladf builds literacy corners, hosts storytimes at schools and libraries, provides access to books, and awards grants to literacy nonprofits. La reads and The Dodgers reading champions are designed to motivate youth to read and help them build a lifelong love of reading.
