Program areas at The Main Discovery
The main discovery is a creative education center for children of all ages. This new child care center located at 1 1st ave sw in downtown hillsboro (formerly the paddlewheel restaurant) is newly remodeled to fit young children. The new facility includes new windows low enough for small children to see the birds and trains, small tables and chairs, small toilets and sinks perfect for small bodies, a new playground complete with flower boxes, garden, sand box, playground, and fresh air! The older children, ages 3+ and the before and after school program and summer camp will also run out of the main discovery. This facility is perfect for the older kids as it is close to the softball diamonds, downtown walking sidewalks, and offers transportation to swimming and the park. The school bus will pick up the school age children and bring them to the school for breakfast and will return them after school for a snack. The hours of operation are from 6:30am to 6pm. This is great for commuters and shift workers!
