Program areas at The Mel Bornstein Clinic for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy

MBC therapists offer help for a range of problems, including relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, self-defeating behaviors, child and adolescent problems, parenting challenges, trauma, grief and loss, and life adjustments. Each person who is referred to our clinic is interviewed by a prospective therapist confidentially, with special attention to individual needs and life experiences. A plan of treatment is formed in partnership between patient and therapist. If questions about medication arises, potential patients meet with the medical director for further discussion. In addition, MBC now serves as a training site for Psychaiatry residents from the Corwell health program, furthering the educational mission of the MBC. MBC also serves as a community referral site, fielding nearly 1000 calls in 2023, a majority from Medicaid and Medicare subscribers, and connecting these callers to treatment services.
