These students each had an individualized curriculum designed specifically for their needs. Our students served had a diagnosis of at least one of these medical and or academic conditions: autism ADHD ADD anxiety auditory processing disorder dyscalculia dyslexia dysgraphia Executive Function disorder expressive language disorder and sensory integration disorder. These students completed required coursework for academic completion in a setting that is conducive to their specific needs which could they are at the correct academic level. Parents have access to their student's progress 24 hours a day 7 days a week via a secure website. Students are taught in a low staff-student ratio. This low ratio is not available in other schools in our area. We are meeting an unmet need and take pride in it. Students are assessed on an ongoing basis to ensure progress. In December of 2022 two students graduated early; it was the first time in the school's history that students finished early. May 2024 the school graduated six seniors the largest graduating class to date.
Momentum's Academy's service dog Coco was trained at MADE in Texas Assistance Dogs. She works all day every school day and is a tool for every student. She moves from math to science to reading throughout the day. She is helpful in reducing student and staff anxiety and with managing behavior.
