Program areas at The Mountain on Mastersroad
The well on Mastersroad- food pantry (The well) The food pantry served 821,314 pounds of food, equivalent to 684,920 meals, to 22,948 local families during The weekly distributions held during The year. With The continued nationwide challenges of finding and securing food, they had a 21% overall decrease in The amount of food they were able to distribute last year. However, The needs within The community did not decrease in tandem. Through their determination and dedication,the well leaders and volunteers secured an exciting partnership with a new local grocery store in november. The lord continues to provide as more businesses, organizations, and individuals step up to share their food, financial resources, and time to help support The local area.
Additional community benefit- The Mountain holds numerous other events to benefit The community at large. They distributed about 70,000 free diapers and other baby items to 238 local moms during The 3rd annual diaper day in may. During their november get-a-turkey, give-a-turkey event, they gave over 8,000 pounds of turkey. Through their outreach partnership with The garden on Mastersroad, they gave towards efforts to promote gardening and food sovereignty through community gardens and assisted in The addiction recovery ministry within The flathead indian reservation in Montana. They ended The year strong by sponsoring cars for christmas, an event granting four cars to single women and moms, providing The necessary transportation for their work or family.
Back 2 school bash- The Mountain hosted their 7th annual back 2 school bash, giving away 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies, clothing and over 600 pairs of shoes, benefitting in total about 700 students. These students were able to return to school with The excitement of new school stuff and The joy of knowing that their community cares for them.
