Ministry grants development: through The help of businesses, individuals and churches The Foundation currently supports christ-centered leaders whose programs reach over 6,000 families a week. The Foundation equips leaders to lead and grow their organization through development training offered on various non-profit and leadership development topics.
Mentoring program: links caring and consistent adults with school-aged youth in order to promote positive choices for their futures. The program promotes The development of ongoing, positive, role modeling relationships between one adult and one at-risk school-aged youth.
In 2022 The Nehemiah Foundation has been a subrecipient of a grant awarded by The Ohio department of health, office of health opportunity, Ohio health improvement zones pilot program and as a sub-award of a grant issued by centers for disease control and prevention's national initiative to address covid-19 health disparities among populations that are at high risk and underserved, including racial and ethnic minority populations and rural communities grant, grant award number 1nh75ot000070-01-00 and c fda number 93.391. Funds from this grant have enabled Nehemiah's flourishing neighborhoods initiative to implement a mental health and The church project that aligns resources of The faith community and other local partners to support systems change, remove barriers to health, and enable flourishing for residents in The ohiz area. In addition, The grant has supported a partnership between Nehemiah, mercy health and The clark County combined health department to expand The faith community health nursing/health ministry program that equips and supports nurses and health field volunteers to serve local congregations and neighborhoods in high poverty areas in our community.
