The New Beginnings Center (tnbc) secured funding from over 15 foundations, 26 organizations, 22 corporations and hundreds of individuals. We will continue to grow our donor base by demonstrating sustainable wellness outcomes. Our mission is to address health care disparities and improve The obesity statistics in nashville by offering women a holistic and individualized approach to developing healthy lifestyles. We offer women and teenage girls, regardless of income, group wellness education classes that cover a variety of topics including nutrition and cooking, self- actualization, and behavior modification. Tnbc's classes are focused on coaching women and teenage girls in their journey to build a healthy mind, body, and improved quality of life. Tnbc provided thousands of hours of service to over 630 women in The 2022-2023 fiscal year. Graduates, on average, experience a 7% change in body composition as they lose 4% of their body fat mass and gain 3% in muscle mass. More than 40% of women taking prescription medications when they join tnbc, have stopped or decreased The amount of prescription medication for obesity related disease. 100% have reported improved confidence and self concept, 94% have improved knowledge of nutritional concepts, 95% of clients report that tnbc had a positive influence on their family and friends, and 100% of graduates have improved strength and mobility. Tnbc continues to form partnerships and explore collaborative opportunities with other non-profit organizations, mnps, physicians, clinics, corporations and foundations.
