New York Festival of Song (NYFOS) is a non-profit, concert-giving organization based in Manhattan that has been delighting audiences and dazzling critics for over two decades. Newsday has rightly called NYFOS the most reliably excellent musical organization in New York. NYFOS performances feature some of the worlds finest vocal talents, both established and emerging, in high-energy ensemble productions with repertoire ranging from art song and opera to Broadway and the blues. NYFOS also nurtures the artistry and careers of young singers in residencies with The Juilliard School, Caramoor Center for the Arts, San Francisco Opera, and Glimmerglass Opera.NYFOSs dramatically-charged thematic programming and its commissions, and premieres of new American works reach a wider public through national and international tours, recordings and broadcasts; NYFOSs New York concert series remains a destination for lovers of vocal music from across the globe.The intimacy, elegance and economy of NYFOS presentations and their irresistible appeal for audiences of all backgrounds make NYFOS a unique and essential resource for New Yorks live performing arts community.
