The Orpheus Club of Philadelphia

Ocp presented three concerts and produced special productions in The current year. A christmas concert was performed at The kimmel center. Another concert was performed at The union league of Philadelphia. A third concert was performed outdoors at The devon horse show grounds, a premiere and unique venue in The Philadelphia region. Ocp hosted a member quartet contest at The ocp clubhouse in april 2023. Ocp also organized a gala to celebrate ocp's 150th anniversity at The union league of Philadelphia. More than 400 ocp members and supporters attended The gala in october 2022. The purpose of ocp is to educate The public about choral music and to perpetuate The tradition of all-male choruses. Ocp's repertoire spans classical, jazz and pop. The singing membership consists of 63 members, some are in their 20s, while others continue to be active members into their 80s and beyond. In a typical season, a select group of singing members presents The twelfth night revels. Similar to The book musicals put on by penn's mask and wig Club and princeton's triangle Club, The revels feature slapstick, specially-arranged songs, puns, and elaborate costumes.
