Description
The Pierians Foundation supports artistic projects, art education programs, and emerging artists in the performing, visual, and literary arts, in localities where chapters of the Pierians Incorporated are located. In 2022, the board of directors worked to raise money and create new ways of granting and awarding funds to young people who represent our communities. They established a second community award to be awarded in June of 2022.

Program areas at The Pierians Foundation

Received $1,400 in the Annual Giving Campaign. Hosted our online Arts Auction that raised $1,042 to generate financial support for our causes and to underscore our committment to the art world. Established the Nine Muses Endowment Fund through the Baltimore chapter with a $11,000 donation. This fund purpose is to award school aged children money to be exposed to a variety of arts during their school aged years. Disbursed $10,000 in grant money to various chapters to award to qualifiying recipients. Successfully completed our external audit. Offered mini workshops to our board members as well a mini strategic planning session. We launched are new website to increase our social media presence. Created a comprehensive history of thePierians for our members. Continued maintain our Legacy Endowment Fund.
