This study tests how different proven approaches to preventing opioid overdose deaths work together. It will look at Prevention, overdose response, and treatment with medications across different health care, criminal justice, and community-based settings. It also focuses on places most impacted by The opioid crisis, such as communities with more opioid overdose deaths compared with other communities.the study aims include: - reduce opioid overdose deaths by 40% - increase The number of people who have naloxone, a drug that saves lives by reversing an opioid overdose - expand use of medications for opioid use disorder, such as buprenorphine, methadone, and naltrexone - reduce high-risk opioid prescribing and dispensing

Drug free communities (dfc) support program grant - The dfc program, in collaboration with The carmel communities that care (ctc) coalition, aims to reduce substance abuse among youth by addressing community factors that increase The risk of substance abuse and promoting factors that minimize The risk of substance abuse. The coalition includes individuals from all sectors of The community who work together to reduce risk factors and strengthen protective factors through education, enforcement, and policy initiatives.
For The past two years, The Prevention Council of Putnam has established buy-in and increased collaboration with local law enforcement to utilize certified recovery peer advocates (crpa) to increase linkage, bridging and access to services for substance-involved individuals that law enforcement encounter. Using their experience and evidence-based practices, crpa's help individuals recognize their inherent strengths and help support recovery oriented activities, provide resources, offer The individual referrals to treatment. By working with these individuals, The peers are not only assisting law enforcement, but reducing The likelihood of recidivism and future involvement in The criminal justice system. For this program, The crpa will provide person-centered, non-clinical crisis support, to both indicated and non-indicated individuals to prevent any negative health outcomes, recidivism and/or reoccurrence. Services may include providing access to harm reduction resources, development of recovery plan, utilization of effective coping skills, linking individuals to recovery supports and modeling life skills for navigating recovery.
