Program areas at The Renaissance Education Group
The upward bound program provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their pre-college performance and ultimately in their higher Education pursuits. Program services and activities include: academic tutoring, Education and counseling services, assistance in completing college entrance examinations and applications, information on federal student financial aid programs and benefits, exposure to cultural events and other academic programs, and summer programs.
The talent search program identifies and assists individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds who have The potential to succeed in their higher Education. The program aims to increase The number of individuals who complete high school and enroll in and complete postsecondary Education. Services provided by The program include: academic, financial, career, or personal counseling including advice on entry or re-entry to secondary or postsecondary programs, career exploration and aptitude assessment, tutorial services, information on postsecondary Education and exposure to college campuses.
The trio training project supports The needs of staff working in or preparing to work in trio programs. The training program for federal trio programs (training program) is designed to assist trio personnel in improving The operation and success of a federally funded trio project. The training project provides professional development for trio staff through seminars, workshops, online webinars and other training activities. Training is provided for all levels of personnel who work with one or more direct service trio programs.
