Alumni mentoring and support/edcuation & networking:a. Organized a zoom presentation of useful new research on autocracy not available to alumni elsewhere, b. Participated in The annual meetings at The university of frankfurt, germany, of The society for organizational and institutional economics (sioe) and organized a dinner during The meetings for alumni and faculty. The sioe meetings and alumni dinner are crucial to keep The Coase Institute up to date on new research in new institutional economics, maintain contact with alumni, build its network, and recruit new scholars and faculty.c. Organized and chaired a panel of alumni at sioe's frankfurt meetings to showcase alumni research on long-run economic development and to provide The selected alumni with feedback and experience.d. Organized a one day alumni conference on august 27, 2023 to give alumni feedback on early research projects, maintain contacts and build our network. E. awarded a grant and plaque to an outstanding alumnus who evidenced high scholarly achievement, promoted transformative ideas and improvement in public understanding, and supported The activities and goals of The Ronald Coase Institute.
