Program areas at The Rosewood Initiative
As a community anchor, we fostered community building and continued to be a resource hub for East Portlanders most impacted by systemic exclusion. We strived to improve access to support systems that foster economic stability and upward mobility, health and wellness, and community resilience across East Portland neighborhoods. Our programming includes monthly resource fairs, placemaking events, skill building workshops and cross-cultural celebrations. In addition to our resource naviagation and distribution, we have effectively worked to engage, empower, and uplift community members through outreach and engagement initiatives that address pressing community needs by collaboratiing with decision-making entities to promote educational opportunities and strengthen social cohesion.
