The Samaritan Center provides emergency assistance for low income families and individuals in Eastern Hamilton County, Tennessee. The Samaritan Center provides help with utilities, rent or life sustaining medications, food, cleaning supplies and personal care products that cannot be purchased with food stamps, school supplies, and layettes filled with necessities for newborns. During 2023, the center directly assisted 5707 households.
The Samaritan Center operates a thrift store which is open to the general public. The store is also a vital part of the center's ministry allowing clients to use vouchers to purchase clothing, furniture, and other household goods in the store at no cost.
