Program areas at The Seed Basket
Community health projects - medical/dental & relief was provided in impoverished areas that do not have access to adequate health care. This includes free clinics in partnership with local authorities, medical volunteers from The us visiting and providing assistance and training to indonesian doctors. Additionally we provide health awareness regarding clean water, disease prevention and general preventative practices in order to help improve The health of communities.
Afterschool programs - education is a significant barrier to many rural communities in indonesia. We have helped to create a curriculum for local volunteers to use afterschool to assist in The process of learning to read, learning life skills and learning english which will assist them in The process of finding jobs and other life opportunities in The future.
Orphan care - we provide ongoing fruits and vegetables to several orphan communities in indonesia in order to help subsidize their diets and nutrition. We also assist in english programs and educational opportunities for these orphans.
