Volunteer escorted driver program - volunteers use their own vehicles and pay for their own gas. Seniors are transported to medical appointments, grocery shopping and other needed services such as: pharmacies, banks, hairdressers, etc. The level of transportation depends on The need of The individual being served. Volunteers provide curb-to-curb, door-to-door, door through-the-door and escorted services. Over 589 Montgomery County Senior residents were served with 7,636 trips at no cost to The individual being served.
Grocery shopping services - volunteers either go to The store for a homebound Senior or they drive them to The grocery store, assist them with The shopping and help them put The groceries away upon returning home. 189 Montgomery County Senior residents were served.
