Program areas at The Social Cog
The Social Cog holds various events throughout The year for its members in The learning and developmental disability community to help them cope with different Social situations. These events include socialization skill programs such as bowling, kayaking, and cooking, weekly Social coaching sessions with a professional coach (doctoral psychology students from a local university), and monthly meetings with supportors (parents/relatives of members). All these events are designed to assist members with Social interaction with their peers, help them build confidence, learn conflict resolution, form friendships, and be a part of The community.
