Emergency Assistance - (rent, utilities, food, clothing, etc.) The Diocesan Council raises funds for emergency assistance to be distributed through its 40 Conferences. Conference volunteers conduct home visits and offer assistance. The Diocesan Council provides administrative and financial support, helping Conferences fulfill their mission of service to the poor. The Diocesan Council also twins with other SVDP groups, offering assistance to Councils with fewer resources.
The store provides goods and services, along with funding for other outreach programs. The store works in conjunction with other agencies in the area to provide free clothing and affordable household items to those in need through a voucher program. The store relies on the generosity of donors to provide goods and services to those less fortunate in our area. The store accepts clothing, shoes, accessories, collectibles, books, and clean furniture in good condition. We offer a pickup service for large items.
