Program areas at The Society of Urologic Oncology
Annual Conference: The Society holds an annual conference each year to convene leading urologic oncologists, medical oncologists, and scientists to discuss state-of-the-art translational topics on prostate, kidney, and bladder cancer, as well as strategies in urologic oncology.
Fellowship: The program provides additional training in Urological Oncology above and beyond residency. This additional training will specifically provide a multidisciplinary exposure to Urological Oncology and provide an opportunity to spend an extended period of time devoted to the care of patients with genitourinary malignancies and urologic oncology research in order to prepare the fellow for a productive career in Urologic Oncology.
Oncology Knowledge Assessment Test OKAT: The purpose of the OKAT is to improve the quality of fellowship education and the general knowledge of the urologic oncologist by providing objective data to faculty, oncology urology fellows, and practicing oncology urologists. The OKAT is not designed to judge the competence of its participants and there is no pass or fail level for this examination.
