Program areas at The Stanly County Historical Society
The Society owns two historically significant houses in The County that are available for prearranged tours for school groups and The general public, free of charge, staffed by volunteer docents. There were 439 visitors to these properties this year. The Society also held free, special events at The properties which brought in an additional 940 visitors. These were also staffed by volunteers.
The Society has free monthly programs featuring a speaker on local Historical people or events. In-person events had approximately 500 attendees, on-line presentations had over 8,800 viewers.
