Steamboat Institute continued a remarkable period of growth in revenue and in programs in 2023:Total revenue for 2023 (not including endowment gifts) was $1,795,983, compared to $1,545,934 for 2022.The Steamboat Institute Endowment for the Future of Liberty was established in 2023 with a $100,000 challenge gift from an individual donor.The 15th Annual Freedom Conference, held in Beaver Creek, Colorado, in August 2023, drew hundreds of people from across America, including a record 35 young leaders, ages 20-29, attending on scholarships. Featured speakers included Dana Perino (co-host of The Five on Fox News Channel and former White House Press Secretary under President George W. Bush), economist Stephen Moore, Gerard Baker of The Wall Street Journal, Riley Gaines (NCAA champion swimmer and advocate for fairness in womens sports), and many others.Steamboat Institute awarded its 2023-24 Tony Blankley Fellowship for Public Policy and American Exceptionalism to Kaylee McGhee White (Washington Examiner) and George Bogden (noted world history scholar and writer), growing its ranks of current and former Blankley Fellows to 12.In 2023, Steamboat Institutes Tony Blankley Fellows reached approximately 1.6 billion viewers and listeners with their appearances on local and national TV and radio programs. These media appearances had an advertising value equivalency of $14.8 million.In 2023, Steamboat Institute received a multi-year grant from the Adolph Coors Foundation to expand the Campus Liberty Tour debate program. SI hosted debates on 8 college campuses in 2023, compared to five in 2022. The program is poised to expand to 12 debates in 2024.
