Programs and partnerships.the Foundation is The nation's essential strategic and implementation partner for colleges and universities, companies, institutions, and organizations seeking to build knowledge, cultural understanding and tools to equitably support The mental health and emotional well-being of students and young professionals, particularly those from underserved communities of color. The Foundation delivers expertise in programs and resources mapped to The student lifecycle and support for professionals like college faculty, school staff, and nonprofit leaders. In 2023, The Foundation's partner network consisted of nearly 200 institutions utilizing its programs and resources. Expert workshops and seminars have reached over 1,500 students and 700 professionals who work with students. More than four-fifths of workshop and seminar participants are very likely to recommend The session to others, and to incorporate health and wellness practices into their lives.the Foundation hosts multiple convenings, town halls, and community conversations that support young people and their families to address The needs of young people of color. These events reached thousands of individuals in 2023 through The Foundation's marketing and social media channel. Additionally, in 2023, The Foundation hosted a convening for college and university leaders.the Foundation's knowledge center is a resource for expert information about The mental health and emotional well-being. With a diverse variety of resources including but not limited to white papers, webinars, and videos of expert presentations and interviews, The knowledge center serves users across The country with access to The Foundation's library of content.the Foundation's youth advisory board supports The Foundation's programs, initiatives, and outreach efforts nationwide. Youth advisory board members promote The importance of education about mental health and emotional well-being.
Equity in mental health on campus (emhc)the goal of The emhc initiative is to guide and support a cohort of schools through a transformative process that will make The mental health of all students, particularly students of color who are underserved, a priority for their campus community. The emhc initiative uses The equity in mental health framework (emhf), a first-of-its-kind set of 10 actionable recommendations for colleges and universities to support The mental, emotional, and social health and well-being of students of color. The emhc has reached more than 310,000 students at 28 colleges and universities. In addition, to support institutions in using The emhf, The Foundation and jed Foundation continue to share its emhf implementation toolkit with interested colleges and universities. By 2023, 47 institutions have participated in The program.
Digital transformation digital transformation is an area of activity that focuses on building The Foundation's technology capabilities, infrastructure, and platforms. It includes partnerships with tech innovations, such as a crisis text line.
Educational workshops: The Steve Fund held workshops designed to equip young people and family members with The knowledge and skills to maintain positive mental health. Workshops were co-led by mental health professionals and students to explore mental health topics and encourage utilization of resources and support by participants. Target populations were vulnerable communities, especially communities of color. In addition, The Steve Fund delivered culturally competent mental health support groups led by multicultural psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health experts.
