The purpose of The Summerville Cotillion shall be to provide for the social enjoyment and entertainment of its members includiing the annual Debutante Ball for eligible daughters, grandaughters, neices, and godchildren of members; and the holding of such dances and other entertainments at such times and places as the Board of Directors shall direct. It shall also act as advisor to the Summerville Junion Cotillion. Since 1980 The Summerville Cotillion has held its annual Debutante Ball in the spirit of tradition, gentility and social etiquette.
